The Jewish Food Festival Gefiltefest is back with a star-studded
line-up at London's leading Jewish Community Centre, JW3.
Tomer from Palomar and Ben Tish of The Salt Yard Group, Israel's
Arab-Israeli MasterChef Winner of 2014, Nof Atamna Ismaeel, Judi
Rose, daughter of the late, esteemed Evelyn Rose, California's
seasonal eating guru Amelia Saltsman and vintners Jeff and Jodie
Morgan are amongst those presenting.
The festival consists of over 40 interactive sessions;
demonstrations, workshops, debates, panel-based programming and
interactive sessions for young children, plus Europe's biggest kosher
pop up food market, showcasing contemporary kosher food - from
Vegetarian Caviar to French condiments and artisanal smoked salmon.
Hot on the heels of some of this year's biggest food trends, learn to
bake babka, rainbow doughs, make halva, go sugar-free Jewish style,
and introducing Breaditation.
Visitors can discover Italian Jewish cooking, Eastern European
cuisine from Hungary and Vilna, find out What Jesus would eat,
Celebrate 175 years of The Jewish Chronicle's food writing, discover
Jewish food and comedy, and learn about food in the Torah.
Last year's festival attracted more than 1100 visitors and the event
is a firm fixture on London's Jewish communal calendar.
