Arwa in Amman

a modern interpretation of Italian cuisine on the Grand Canal.

Among the historic walls of the Palazzo Papadopoli palace, where one of the most exquisite hotels in Venice, Aman Venice, is located, is the restaurant Arva. Its concept is based on the idea of cucina del raccolto – “the cuisine of the harvest”: simple, honest dishes made from local ingredients that honor seasonality and tradition.

Concept and philosophy

The name Arva comes from Latin and means “cultivated land”. The main role here belongs to quality products: seafood comes from the lagoon, vegetables and herbs from the Rialto farmers’ markets, olive oil and pasta from small Italian producers. The restaurant’s cuisine is not about showiness, but about purity of flavor and balance.

Atmosphere

Arva is a combination of luxury and home warmth.

Thehalls of Palazzo Papadopoli are decorated with frescoes and antique furniture, creating the feeling of an aristocratic evening.

The garden overlooking the Grand Canal allows you to enjoy outdoor dining, especially in the warm season.

For private events, the restaurant offers chamber rooms and customized menus.

The team

The menu is the responsibility of Aman Venice’s team of chefs, led by Chef Davide D’Andrea, who combines regional traditions with signature techniques. His style is minimalist in preparation, but maximizing the flavor of the products.

Michelin Recognition

Arva is included in the Michelin Guide as a top-tier contemporary Italian restaurant. It is categorized in the guide as €€€€, which corresponds to the prestigious gastronomy segment in Venice.
Although the restaurant does not yet have its own Michelin star, its inclusion in the guide confirms the high praise of experts and the consistent quality of cuisine and service. This makes Arva one of the city’s key gastronomic addresses for real gourmets.

A restaurant for stars and world elite

Arva has long gained popularity among famous guests who choose Aman Venice as a place for a vacation in Venice. During the Venice Film Festival, the restaurant becomes a real meeting center for Hollywood actors, artists and representatives of world business.

It is loved for its atmosphere of privacy: Palazzo Papadopoli has enclosed gardens and chamber rooms where you can dine without attention. This is why Arva is often called a restaurant for the stars, where haute cuisine is combined with a sense of exclusivity.

Why it’s worth a visit

Arva is a place where Italian cuisine sounds sincere and natural. Here you won’t find complex molecular experiments or excessive theatricality, but you will get a true Venetian experience: the atmosphere of a palace, world-class service and dishes that are all about the product.
