Jiwan.

– A jewel among the sands: a restaurant where the sunset has a taste of Qatar.

In the heart of Doha, on the fourth floor of the National Museum, is the restaurant.

A true culinary and architectural masterpiece that embodies the spirit of Qatari heritage in a contemporary setting.

Architecture that takes your breath away

The name “Jiwan” comes from a Qatari word meaning “perfect pearl”, a symbol of purity and beauty. The restaurant’s interior, designed by Koichi Takada architects, is inspired by the country’s pearl fishing history.

More than four million crystal beads falling from the ceiling create a submerged effect, reminiscent of traditional fishing nets. The carpets change color from sand to sea turquoise, and the furniture reproduces the shapes of the dunes of Khor Al Adaid.

A culinary journey through Qatar

Led by legendary chef Alain Ducasse, Jiwan offers a modern interpretation of traditional Qatari cuisine.
