Over 30 years — exquisite cuisine, simple interior, and a central location in Zurich

Exquisite cuisine, simple interior, and a prime location in the heart of Zurich.

Rosaly’s has been in operation for over 30 years. Opened in 1992, the restaurant has successfully run without loud rebranding or advertising campaigns, simply relying on high quality and a well-chosen location.

Cuisine

The menu combines classic Swiss cuisine with French and Mediterranean influences, offering an interesting symbiosis of diverse flavors and cooking techniques that reflect the cultural richness of these regions.

Among the dishes are tartare, duck breast, veal with truffle sauce, homemade pasta, and vegetable side dishes.

I chose the Rosaly’s Club Sandwich for 84€, adding black truffle and black caviar for 40€.

For dessert — classic options like chocolate fondant or sorbet.

As well as a new creation from chef Turnant — chips made from hemp sugar, which add a unique flavor to a new baklava dessert.

Bar Menu — No Experiments, but Precision

The wine list is small but well-balanced, with selections from Italy, France, Germany, and Switzerland. Everything is within a reasonable budget. Whether you need a glass of white for lunch or red for dinner, they’ll always find something for you without the need for lengthy explanations.

Ingredients — The Foundation of Everything

At Rosaly’s, great attention is paid to the quality of ingredients. Meat comes from trusted local suppliers, vegetables are seasonal, and fish is always fresh. Every product undergoes careful selection, which ensures the consistency of the cuisine.

Interior

The interior is done in light tones with natural wood, light walls, and minimalist decor.

Part of the dining area has large windows overlooking the street, and there is a summer terrace. The atmosphere promotes quiet conversation.

Another detail: the restaurant has kept an old cigarette vending machine, which has become a part of the interior and a favorite focal point for guests. A touch of nostalgia and charm in a modern space.

Format and Amenities

Rosaly’s is open daily. On weekdays, it operates from lunch to late evening, and on weekends — only in the evening. Takeaway is available, which is convenient for those working nearby. You can reserve a table online.

Most of the guests are not tourists, but locals who work or live nearby. During weekdays, it’s filled with people in business suits coming for lunch. In the evening, the crowd is more relaxed, often made up of regular visitors. Rosaly’s is not tied to trends.

Location

Located in the center of Zurich, just a few minutes’ walk from the Bellevue station. It’s a convenient spot for a quick lunch or dinner, but the restaurant isn’t tied to fleeting trends — it has worked for years to build its steady audience.

Conclusion

Rosaly’s is a place that doesn’t try to surprise. It offers quality cuisine, a calm atmosphere, and a great location that has attracted regular visitors for many years, who appreciate stability and tradition.
