TANIT

– sardinia’s maritime symphony on a plate.

In the breeze of Poltu Quatu harbor you can hear the clinking of masts and the light rustling of waves. It is here, on the waterfront of the marina, that the TANIT restaurant is hidden – a place that combines lightness, elegance and a serious attitude to taste.

The name of the place is in honor of the Phoenician goddess Tanit, symbolizing the spirit of the island: brave, sacred, deep-sea.

Location and environment

The restaurant is located in Poltu Quatu (municipality of Arzachena, province of Sassari), in the northeast of the island of Sardinia, Italy.

The windows and terrace overlook the marina, the fjord-like backwater, the yachts and the sheen of the water. The interior is updated by designers Meyer Davis: blue seas, warm gold accents, textures reminiscent of waves and rocks.

The ambiance is evening and romantic, perfect for an evening dinner by candlelight.

Kitchen concept

TANIT operates under the motto “Sardinian slow dining” – seasonal products from the mountain, valley and sea, processed with modern techniques.

The menu is not just a list of dishes, but a journey through the landscape: from oysters to risotto, from seafood to vegetables with the essence of the island. The focus is on freshness, locality, minimalism and precision.
The establishment is open mainly in the evening: dinner from 20:00, aperitif from 19:30.

Carpaccio from sea eel with truffle and citrus note $48
Cod with Caviar and Beurre Blanc Sauce – $75
Lobster with Tomato Essence and Pickled Shallots (lobster with TomatoEssence andPickled Shallots ) – 95$
Spaghetti alle Vongole con Salsa al Prezzemolo (spaghetti with clams in white wine and parsley sauce) – 38$
Fregola ai Frutti di Mare (traditional Sardinian pasta in saffron seafood broth. The rich flavor of the sea, tender shrimp, mussels and pieces of white fish create a harmony of taste and textures) – $40

What’s worth knowing

Detailed prices for the whole range of TANIT’s menu are not publicly stated. However, taking into account the level of the institution, location and reviews, you can be guided by the following:

  • Seafood dinner and specialty ~$70-120 for the main course, depending on the choice.
  • Tasting set menus (if available) can start at ~$150-200 per person.
  • Aperitifs and wine on the terrace: a glass of wine ~$12-18; a glass of champagne or rare wine is considerably more.
  • Dress-code: smart casual, atmosphere is premium but not austere.

For whom

TANIT is an institution for those who appreciate:

  • a dinner overlooking the sea, when sky and water merge into one tone;
  • quality cuisine with seafood and a modern approach;
  • a moment when gastronomy is not just food, but part of a vacation and experience.
    It’s not fast food, not a noisy restaurant – it’s calm, rhythm and sophistication.

Impression

You sit down at a table, the marina pulsing with a light sheen, glass half open, a slight breeze from the sea side. The dish appears – beautiful, elegant, with the smell of saltiness and herbs. And in that moment you realize: this is not just a dinner. This is a moment.

TANIT creates a rhythm: slowly but surely.
And if you want a place that stays in your memory not just as a “restaurant guide” but as “an evening worth the journey” – this is it.
