An architectural manifesto of luxury on the shores of the Persian Gulf.
The eastern slope of the Katara Towers in Lusail has already become a new symbol of Qatari architectural modernism. The two gigantic curved structures, which mimic the crossed Arab sabers from the country’s national coat of arms, are visible from afar.

One of these “swords” houses Raffles Doha a hotel that has moved away from the classic concept of a 5-star stay and embraced the “ultra-luxury” format, featuring exclusively “luxury” rooms.

Instead of the usual lobby, guests are greeted by a high-ceilinged atrium featuring interactive art installations and atmospheric acoustics. Immediately after check-in, each guest is assigned a personal butler (a signature service of the Raffles Butler program), who takes care of all the logistics of the stay: from unpacking suitcases and curating a personal wardrobe to booking restaurant tables and preparing a bath after a busy day.

There are no standard rooms at Raffles Doha the hotel offers 132 suites, each of which is more like a private apartment with premium finishes. Marble, solid wood, hand-embroidered textiles, and floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows create a sense of understated luxury without unnecessary clutter.

Raffles Doha’s culinary concept is tailored to discerning gourmets. The hotel’s main restaurant, L’Artisan, offers contemporary European cuisine with a signature twist. If breakfast is not included in the room rate, it costs 60€ per person. A full lunch or dinner here costs approximately 85–145€ per person.

The hotel’s crown jewel is the restaurant Alba by Enrico Crippa, created under the guidance of a chef whose flagship restaurant in Italy has been awarded three Michelin stars. A set menu featuring Northern Italian cuisine here ranges from 120€ to 220€ per person, excluding alcohol.

For relaxed daytime gatherings, visit the Malaki Lounge, which serves traditional Afternoon Tea with signature desserts the price for a set for two is 70-80€

On the 36th floor isthe Acoustic Music Penthouse jazz club, offering views of the city at night, where cocktail prices range from 20€ to 32€ Connoisseurs of rare cigars and premium spirits can relax in the Blue Cigar lounge, where the average bill for premium drinks and cigars starts at €36-€120

The Raffles Spa has moved away from the concept of shared massage rooms. All treatments take place in private spa suites with their own showers, relaxation areas, and whirlpool baths.

The cost of basic massage or skincare programs lasting 60–90 minutes ranges from 190€ to 360€ Renting a private spa suite for half a day for a private retreat starts at 600€

You can reach the hotel from Hamad International Airport (DOH) via the hotel’s private transfer service (Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series vehicles) for 120€ one way. Valet parking is free for hotel guests, and an extra bed in a suite costs 85€ per night.

Verdict: Raffles Doha is a gallery-like hotel and an experience in itself, where the high price is justified by impeccable privacy, personalized butler service, and exclusive design. This is not a place for a brief stopover during a flight, but rather for a full immersion in a new generation of Eastern luxury.
