when the Mediterranean becomes part of your table
On the French Riviera, between Monaco and Menton, there is a place that is easy to miss if you don’t know what to look for. But those who have dined at Loulou Pirate at least once return — not only for the cuisine, but also for the feeling that time slows down here and simplicity becomes a new luxury.

Formerly known as Le Pirate, this restaurant has been around since the 1960s and has experienced fame, decline, and revival. The current Loulou Pirate is not just a rebranding, but a new chapter with respect for its heritage. The place where Brigitte Bardot, Frank Sinatra, and Alain Delon once dined now once again brings together connoisseurs of life, style, and fine cuisine.

The restaurant is open seasonally, from mid-June to the end of August, and serves lunch and dinner daily. Guests arrive by car, yacht, or water taxi. French businesspeople, influencers from London, and actors from Rome meet here, and everyone finds something to their liking.

Nothing is superfluous. Wooden terraces overlooking the sea, natural textures, sunlight dissolving in a glass of white wine. The waiters don’t play a role, they are part of the scene. Here, no one shouts, rushes, or shows off. Here, the service is relaxed, with French smiles and Mediterranean ease.

Live music at sunset, a cool breeze, perfect lighting for stories — and at the same time, a place where you can be offline.
Chef Benoit Garger has created a menu where each dish is not a demonstration of technique, but a return to the basics: seasonality, pure flavors, simple combinations. Nothing superfluous, just confidence in the product and balance.

Let’s talk a little about the dishes at this establishment:

There is no need for 20 items on the cocktail menu here. A few are enough — but they must be made flawlessly.

The Loulou Pirate wine list is a balanced selection with an emphasis on rosé wines from Provence, mineral whites from the Loire and Alsace, and elegant reds from Piedmont and Tuscany.

The list is dominated by labels from France and Italy, complemented by a few New World selections for balance. Each wine is chosen to complement the seafood cuisine, the freshness of the ingredients, and the lighthearted atmosphere of the restaurant.

Loulou Pirate is not a place to eat, it is a place to live.
Every detail, from the service to the music selection, is thoughtful but not ostentatious. This is a restaurant for those who know what they want. For those who appreciate simple things done with great taste.

Luxury that doesn’t scream. An atmosphere that leaves a lasting impression.
And cuisine that doesn’t impress — it convinces.
